Jerome Mouffe is a virtuoso guitarist from Belgium who has dazzled international audiences with his passionate and spontaneous playing. Jerome has toured extensively as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and Western Europe.

Recent solo performances include recitals for Boston Classical Guitar Society, South Bay Guitar Society, Masters of Tomorrow Concert Series in Rhode Island, and Boston GuitarFest. In November 2009, he was invited to perform at the International Agustin Barrios Mangore Festival in Brussels, where he shared the stage with his mentor Eliot Fisk in addition to performing his own solo recital at the prestigious Flagey concert hall. His performances were broadcast on Belgian national public radios Musiq3 and Klara.

Jerome has released his debut CD – Capriccio – in 2009 on the VGo Recordings label. The album features early nineteenth century virtuoso Italian music. Jerome got a Master Degree at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles in Belgium and a Postgraduate Diploma at the Universitat Mozarteum Salzburg, in Austria. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the New England Conservatory in Boston, under the direction of Eliot Fisk.

Jérôme Mouffe est un jeune guitariste belge reconnu pour sa technique virtuose et ses interprétations originales. Il a conquis un large public aux Etats-Unis et en Europe tant comme soliste que comme chambriste.

Il s’est récemment produit en soliste sur les scènes de la Boston Classical Guitar Society, la South Bay Guitar Society, dans le cadre des Masters of tomorrow Concert Series à Rhode Island, et à Boston GuitarFest. En novembre 2009, il fût invité à participer au Festival International Agustin Barrios Mangore à Bruxelles. Il y presta un récital en solo dans le prestigieux “Studio 4” de Flagey, et y partagea la scène avec Eliot Fisk lors du concert qui marqua les 75 ans de la venue de Barrios à Bruxelles. Ces prestations furent retransmises sur les ondes des radios belges Musiq3 et Klara.

Son premier CD – Capriccio – enregistré en Californie chez VGo Recordings, est sorti début 2009. Il présente des œuvres virtuoses de la tradition romantique italienne du début du XIXème siècle. Jérôme obtint un Master en guitare à 20 ans avec grande distinction au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles et un diplôme de Postgraduat au Mozarteum Universität Salzburg en Autriche. Actuellement, Jérôme termine son doctorat (Doctor of Musical Arts) au New England Conservatory de Boston.
